Thursday afternoons find us visiting with the pupils at St. Andrew's. We've been introducing ourselves at morning Assemblies, and spending time building relationship with the school community.
During Lent we led times of reflection on the Mercy of God.
As part of the chaplaincy team at St. Michael's, we've been invited to be around the school during the lunch break, and take small groups of pupils out of class to get to know them better and ask how they would like to be supported at school.
Part of the first year RE program is to have a day of retreat away from the school. This year our team was asked to organise these days of reflection during Lent, and we're helping the pupils delve into Jesus' Passion, Trial, Death and Ressurection.

St. Anthony's is just along the road. We've been priviledged to help our Primary Four pupils in their preparation for the Sacraments of communion and Confirmation.
We're also working with each class on the themes of God's Love, Forgiveness, Using our Gifts, and Prayer.
The 6:30pm Sunday Mass at St. Mary's is always a good experience.
Each week a group of young musicians provide upbeat music to animate the liturgy, and it's not uncommon to see a drama or multimedia presentation highlighting part of the Mass.
Stick around after Mass and there's a lively gathering across in the hall. Each week we
look at a different theme, and participate in discussion, games, and a whole slew of activities
varying from the 'hot seat' (where a guest sits and answers honestly all questions put to them),
to enacting a Christmas pantomime.
There's always something new and different.
Each month for the past six years the Diocesan Youth Team has organised a Youth Mass and
evening to follow in one of the parishes of the Diocese. This year these evenings are being
held in Saltcoats.
The Living Water team has been blessed to participate in these evenings, and we've had a lot
of fun and good discussion with young people from all over Galloway.
